Biography

  • Brief introduction of yourself: My name is Novatus Massawe Marki. I am an employee of Sokoine university of Agriculture as an academic member of staff. Currently, I am a student taking a master’s degree in crop sciences at Sokoine University of Agriculture.
  • Your interests, hobbies, and talents: My interests are that I am a self-motivating person and I like working hard and archive result on time. My hobbies are playing football and Reading books. My talents are teaching and leading others.
  • Your achievements (academic, extracurricular, or professional): I have completed my bachelor’s degree in general agriculture at Sokoine University of Agriculture and currently am a student taking master’s degree at Sokoine University of Agriculture.
  • Your personal mission statement or philosophy My mission is to continue studying and working very hard and with a high level of precision to become an important assert in the University in terms of being innovative and creative person. Also working on research to solve different problems facing the country and world, particular in the agriculture sector.

I am very delegated with the scholarship because it fully supports me on tuition fee, meals, and accommodation as well as support me on the area of research all these, provide the assurance for completion of my master’s degree in crop science which is my dream.
  • Did the scholarship help you achieve any academic or personal goals? Yes, with HEET scholarship iam expecting to acquire master’s degree in crop science and widening my research skills.
  • Did you participate in any HEET Project activities or events? If so, which ones?

 

Plans for Future

  • What are your future career aspirations? My future career is to continue working in the university and continue building my academic career to become an important researcher in the university, country and in the world including writing an important research proposal for attracting more fund to the university and the county.
  • How do you plan to use your education to impact your community or society at large? I plan after finishing my studies to start to prepare and execute research that address different problems facing society, particular on the area of agriculture. Also offering consultation and training to the society.
