Professor Amandus Muhairwa, the Deputy Vice-Chancellor for Administration, Planning, and Finance at Sokoine University of Agriculture (SUA), played a pivotal role in spearheading a delegation of experts from SUA for a study tour to India. The main aim of this visit was to cultivate collaborative ties with LUVAS University in India, establishing a platform for knowledge exchange and cooperative ventures between the two institutions.

During their visit to India, the SUA delegation had the privilege of immersing themselves in a diverse array of academic interests and experiences. One noteworthy stop on their journey was a visit to the prestigious IIT ROORKEE, renowned for its expertise in Water Resources and International Curriculum. This visit provided a valuable opportunity for SUA’s experts to engage with counterparts at IIT ROORKEE, exchange ideas, and explore potential areas of mutual interest and collaboration.

Moreover, the SUA team took full advantage of their time in India to deliver informative presentations that showcased the College’s wide-ranging accomplishments and ongoing projects. These presentations served as a platform for sharing SUA’s research findings, innovations, and achievements with a broader international audience, facilitating knowledge dissemination and fostering connections with academic peers abroad.
